At SOAR, we believe that the change needed to end GBV must happen at every level—interpersonal, cultural, social, and systemic— towards a future free of violence. Before we continue to move towards this future, we must center survivors, especially the most marginalized, and our communities to imagine and set a vision for the future and the solutions it holds. And, we know that many of these changes or solutions might exist outside of traditional solutions to ending violence.

After 2 years of building our beautiful community and shared research, storytelling, and advocacy including Together We Rise, State of the Field, Their Light Remains, and Woven Voices, we have collectively laid the foundation to reimagine our own South Asian diasporic communities free of violence. We hope that our 2nd National Summit: Together We Reimagine is a starting point for our work ahead of not only reimagining, but then building our futures. We can’t wait to share this space with you once again.
