Beyond Survival (2026)
Beyond Survival: Investing in the Future of the South Asian Gender Justice Movement is a funding landscape report that makes the case for increased, sustained, and unrestricted funding for South Asian gender-based violence organizations. Drawing on findings from SOAR’s Murmurations Movement Fund, which provided flexible grants to 30 grassroots organizations, the report examines how chronic underfunding threatens survivor services and the long-term sustainability of the field, and urges funders and donors to invest in the organizations working to end gender-based violence.

State of the Field: Data from the Frontlines of the South Asian Gender-Based Violence Work is a comprehensive national data report shedding light on the prevalence and nuanced nature of gender based violence in the South Asian community. This data isn't just groundbreaking; it holds the potential to reshape the landscape of support and services for South Asian survivors of gender-based violence.
Together We Rise (2022)
Together We Rise is the first of its kind in that it centers community-based leadership across South Asian gender-based violence movement.
In the summer of 2021, South Asian SOAR (SOAR), convened listening sessions with its network of 30+ frontline organizations across 13 states. This report shares the key findings from those listening sessions, and through it, we strive to ultimately generate increased funding, improve research & data collection, and drive policy changes that accurately meet South Asian survivors’ needs.
South Asians For Abortion Hub
Since the fall of Roe, the speed and scale of the crises confronting South Asian communities cannot be overstated. In response, SOAR created the South Asians for Abortion, a digital platform to mobilize South Asians for abortion, reproductive justice, and bodily autonomy in a post-Roe America. The digital platform is a place to read and share abortion stories, access and contribute to resource mobilization, and engage with advocacy that centers the voices and needs of South Asians.
